Let’s start with the pendant, it is a cast piece showcasing the “Moly” plant. If you are a lover of Greek Mythology, you may have heard of this plant’s root that can only be obtained by the gods. If you eat the root of the Moly plant, spells will not effect you. It is a root of protection that can only be given to humans by gods.
The necklace is triple threaded with light blue silk cord that is knotted between each Carnelian bead, and finished off with hand fabricated Argentium Silver hook clasps.
Necklace Length: 20”
Cast items are first carved out of wax, then a mould is created with a plaster material around the wax pieces, the mould is then put into a kiln and all the wax is melted out to create a jewelry shaped cavity. Molten silver is then poured into the mould and that is how we get these solid cast items. (ALL OF THIS HAPPENS IN MY VERY OWN BASEMENT).
